Smithfield, Town of TOWN OF SMITHFIELD RESIDENTS Request for Charter Review Commission Members
Pursuant to Article XI Section 11.02 of the Town Charter, the Town Council shall appoint a Charter Review Commission consisting of nine (9) members, all of whom shall be electors and residents of the Town, to broadly represent the community and review the operation of the Charter and propose amendments as deemed necessary and advisable.
All interested persons who reside in Smithfield and are registered to vote, should submit a letter of intent and a resume to the Town Managers Office, 64 Farnum Pike, Smithfield, RI 02917 or by email to dcorrao@smithfieldri.gov . The deadline for submittals has been extended to Friday, January 31, 2025.
