NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
PROPOSED AMENDMENTS
to the HOME RULE CHARTER
A Public Hearing will be held by the Glocester Town Council on July 16, 2026 @ 7:30 p.m.
1145 Putnam Pike, for the purpose of considering November 2026 General Election local
ballot questions.
For consideration are proposed recommendations by the
2026 Charter Review Commission that would amend the Home Rule Charter.
Amendments may be altered, amended, or new amendments proposed prior to the close of
the Public Hearing without further advertising as a result of further study or because of
the views expressed at the Public Hearing. All adopted local questions will be listed on the
November 3, 2026 General Election ballot as Local Referendum.
Copies of proposed amendments, by the 2026 Charter Review Commission, are available
in the office of the Town Clerk and on line at www.glocesterri.gov
