PUBLIC HEARING
Notice is hereby given pursuant to Rhode Island General Laws 45-24-53 that a Public
Hearing will be held by the City Council on Monday, July 13, 2026 at 6:00 PM in the
Council Chambers, 2nd Floor, City Hall, 580 Broad Street, Central Falls, RI, for the purpose
of reviewing and considering the following:
1. Petition from Abraham and Ufelia Montalvo, of 312 Cowden St., Central Falls, RI,
requesting a Zone Change for the property located on Assessors Plat 6, Lot 227 (306
Cowden Street), from R-3 to C-2.
2. Petition from Sobeida Benzant, of
176 Washington Street, Central Falls,
RI, requesting a Zone Change for the
property located on Assessors Plat 4,
Lot 136 (162 Washington Street), from
R-2 to C-1.
The Ordinances and Petitions listed
here may be altered or amended prior
to the close of the public hearing
without further advertising, as a result
of further study or because of the
views expressed at the public hearing.
Any alteration or amendment must be
presented for comment in the course of
the hearing.
All persons or agencies interested in
the above listed Ordinances or Petitions
will have an opportunity to be heard
and/or to submit communication in writing. Copies of the proposed Ordinances and
Petitions and information thereon may be obtained prior the Hearing at the City Clerks
Office, Central Falls City Hall, 580 Broad Street, Central Falls, Rhode Island, 02863, Mon-
Thu 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Fri 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM.
If you are unable to attend the meeting all testimony must be submitted by no later than
1:30 PM on Friday, July 10, 2026 by email to jmagnone@city.centralfallsri.gov.
Individuals requesting interpreter services for the hearing impaired should call the City
Clerks Office at 727-7400, 72 hours in advance.
