Town of Foster, Town Clerk ATTENTION TOWN OF FOSTER Voters and Candidates DECLARATION PAPER FILING and REGISTRATION DEADLINES
Deadline dates for filing declaration papers to be a candidate in the Primary Election on September 9, 2026 or in the General Election on November 3, 2026 will begin on June 22, 2026 at 8:30 a.m. and end on June 24, 2026 at 4 p.m.
If you wish to run for office in 2026 but you have not yet registered to vote, the final days to register are as follows:
To file Declaration papers on June 22, 2026, you must be registered to vote by May 23, 2026
To file Declaration papers on June 23, 2026, you must be registered to vote by May 24, 2026
To file Declaration papers on June 24, 2026, you must be registered to vote by May 25, 2026
Voter registration can be completed at the Town Hall, or online at https://vote.sos.ri.gov/Home/RegistertoVote?ActiveFlag=1
Declaration papers will be accepted at the Town Clerks Office, 181 Howard Hill Road, Monday, June 22nd and Tuesday, June 23rd 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and on Wednesday, June 24th 8:30 a.m. until 4 p.m.
Nomination papers will be ready to be picked up on June 30, 2026, and must be submitted by July 10, 2026 at 4:00 p.m.
