Ad textLincoln, Town of - Parks & Recreation The Lincoln Memorial Day Parade Committee is pleased to announce
that we will be continuing our special observances this year, honoring those who made the ultimate sacrifice. The event will start off with a breakfast for both Veterans and members of our Honor Guard contingent made up of first responder, EMS, Police and Fire from Lincoln. The breakfast will be held at the Lincoln Senior Center from 8-9 am on Saturday, May 23, 2026.
This year the wreath laying ceremony will take place at two of our five monuments here in town. The Northern monument, located at the Lincoln Senior Center and Southern monument located at the Saylesville Fire Department. At a later date the committee will have a wreath laying dedication at the other monuments throughout town. The wreath laying ceremony will follow directly after the conclusion of the Veterans Breakfast:
9:15 am Limerock Vietnam Memorial located at the Lincoln Senior Center 150 Jenkes Hill Rd
10:00 am Saylesville Dow Square WWII Memorial located at 1 Chapel St
12:00 pm Gateway Park Memorial located at 487 Great Rd.
We would like to invite members of the community to join us at the different observances during the day. Please be advised that the LPD Honor Guard will be providing a gun salute at the locations so please take notice.
